A pastor of the Deeper Life Bible Church who was abducted from his church last week in Ondo State has regained his freedom.
The cleric, Otamayomi Ogedengbe, was released by his abductors after spending about a week in captivity.
Recall that Ogedengbe was abducted last week in Irese axis of Akure South Local Government during a church programme.
The kidnappers had requested ransom for his release after he was abducted by the gunmen who invaded the church around 9 pm.
A source who spoke on the condition of anonymity, while disclosing the release of the pastor, said it was yet to be ascertained whether or not any ransom was eventually paid as demanded by the abductors.
The source added that since the cleric was abducted there had been series of prayers by the family as well as the pastor’s church members over his safe return.
Meanwhile, the police command in the state is yet to confirm the development as at press time.
