Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has berated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, for claiming victory in last Saturday’s presidential election.
Atiku while speaking at a press conference on Thursday in Abuja, had vowed to approach the court to reclaim his “stolen mandate”.
But in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Thursday, Fani-Kayode described the former Vice President as hopelessly delusional for claiming victory in the just-concluded election.
The Director of the Special Media Project of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council said Atiku should hurriedly approach the court and prove his case.
Fani-Kayode also commended the PDP flagbearer for planning to go to court because it is his legitimate right to seek redress. He, however, assured Atiku that he will meet a crushing defeat at the court too.
He wrote: “I have never seen a man that is as hopelessly delusional as @atiku. I watched his press conference & laughed. He says he is going to court & I say the sooner the better. I commend him for that. That is his right. Be rest assured that he will meet a crushing defeat there too.”

The Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council has lambasted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, for claiming victory at last Saturday’s presidential election.
Reacting to a press conference by Atiku, where he had vowed to approach the courts to reclaim his mandate, the APC described him as delusional.
In a statement , Director of Public Affairs and Chief Spokesperson, Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo (SAN), accused Atiku of destroying his party, noting that he reaped the full consequences of his indiscretion.
Keyamo, who is the Minister of State, Labour and Employment, said Atiku Abubakar should be thankful that he even exceeded expectations in the elections by coming 2nd.
