Atiku Addresses Press Conference On Presidential Election

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has addressed a World Press Conference to address the nation on the just concluded presidential election.

The World Press conference took place at the main auditorium, Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Center, Central Area, Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Present at the press conference included some PDP governors, National Working Committee (NWC) members, and other party stakeholders.

The former Vice President lost his presidential bid to the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, declared Tinubu as the February 25th presidential election winner after the APC candidate amassed 8,805,420 votes ahead of Atiku, who came second with 6,984,290 votes, while Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) emerged third in the race.

Top politicians and concerned Nigerians have asked Obi and Atiku to send their congratulatory message to Tinubu already, but the candidates are yet to respond to the call

There are expectations that Atiku will reveal his stand about the outcome of the election during the press conference.
