First Lady, Aisha Buhari has congratulated the president-elect Bola Tinubu on his victory as the February 25th presidential election winner.
Recall the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had earlier declared the former Governor of Lagos State as the winner of the fiercely contested position after amassing higher voter turnout ahead of his counterparts from other political parties.
From the outcome of the results presented to INEC by State Collation Officers, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, came second behind Tinubu while the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi, emerged third in the race.
Tinubu got 25 percent of the total valid votes in 27 states.
The states where he got the required spread are Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Sokoto, Bauchi, Yobe, Kano, Kebbi, Plateau, Gombe, Kaduna, Nasarawa, Katsina, Taraba, Lagos and Osun.
Celebrating his victory on Wednesday, Buhari via her verified Instagram posted a Meme with the caption “Alhamdulillah.”
She also posted a video of supporters of the former Lagos Governor seen celebrating his victory.
