The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi has urged the people to move out of their comfort zones and do the extraordinary to achieve their God’s given purpose.
Speaking at the Ministers /Professional conference with the topic: “An Excelling Minister, a man of destiny,” Kumuyi said Moses was able to deliver his people because he left the comfort zone of Pharaoh’s daughter’s house even as he urged the people, especially the professionals to do same in their field of endeavours to make an impact in the society.
His words, “you will not get to where God has ordained for you when you continue to remain in the comfort zone which is full of pleasure, and you don’t want any suffering, jolting and inconvenience, and everything from breakfast to dinner and assorted clothes are always at your beck and call, you will not get to where God has ordained for you.
“When Moses came of age, he refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. “Moses refused the comfort of the palace, the luxury, prestige, isolation, and authority of being the Prince of Egypt.”
He averred that most people choose the path of convenience to manoeuvre their way to success but Moses chose to suffer afflictions with the people of God.
“You must know the path that leads to the ministry of excellence. God will not impose anything on you as our earthly parents and coaches do so that we can succeed. He made us free moral agents, so in the final analysis, the choice is yours to make.”
Kumuyi called on leaders to have a purpose-driven life and follow God’s direction for the good of society.
