2023: AAC Presidential Candidate, Sowore Is Better Than Peter Obi, Tinubu, Atiku – Nigerian Singer, Seun Kuti

Seun, who is also a human rights activist, in an interview said Sowore is the best of the four frontline presidential candidates available.

Seun Anikulapo-Kuti, Nigerian musician and son of the late afro-beat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has asked Nigerians to vote for Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress in the forthcoming 2023 general election.

Seun, who is also a human rights activist, in an interview said Sowore is the best of the four frontline presidential candidates available.

Other top contenders are Bola Tinubu, of the All Progressives Congress; Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party’s Peter Obi.

“For me, Sowore is the best of the four candidates that are available, personally for me. I still think he is better that the three others if Nigerians say they want to press the reset button,” he said.

“That they want to take the right step in the right direction. Unfortunately, same Nigerians will tell you Sowore can’t win as if election is football sport. You are not playing to win; you are playing your conscience. You are voting your belief.”

Sowore had in March 2022 declared his interest to join the 2023 presidential race on the platform of the AAC in Abuja.

In the 2019 election, the activist came fifth during the presidential election with 33,953 votes ahead of other new entrants like Fela Durotoye of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), and Kingsley Moghalu of the Young Democratic Party (YPP).
