Akeredolu swears in son as DG, new Commissioners, Special Advisers

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Monday swore in his son, Babajide as the Director General, Performance and Project Implementation Monitoring Unit, PPIMU, as well as 14 commissioners and seven Special Advisers into the state executive council.

While urging the new appointees to see their appointments as a call to service, Akeredolu charged them to focus on engendering sustainable development in the state.

While speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, held at the International Culture and Event Centre, Akure, the governor disclosed that his administration had been engaging youths who he said “on whose tender shoulders the future of this great country rests.”

Akeredolu maintained that his administration will not hesitate to sanction any aberrant attitudes which he said may likely portray his government as reckless and insensitive.

Disclosing why he created the PPIMU which his son will be heading as DG, Akeredolu said it was to recalibrate his administration’s development agenda which he said will assist in ensuring value for all resources being deployed by the government.

The commissioner nominees are, Dr. Banji Awolowo Ajaka, Mrs Bamidele Ademola Olateju, Adefarati Adegboyega, Femi Agagu, Dele Ologun, Sunday Adekunle, and Razak Obe.

Others include, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan, Fatai Olotu, Yetunde Adeyanju, Hon. Akinlosotu, Lola Fagbemi, and Olayato Aribo.

The seven nominated Special Advisers include, Victor Ategbole, Mrs Wunmi Ilawole, Tobi Ogunleye, Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye, Mrs Olamide Falana, Francis Adedayo Faduyile and Mr Niyi Oseni.
