The thieves had on Monday, at about 9.30pm, attacked the owner of a Toyota Corrolla car, with Reg No. JJJ 242 FW, at Ikate.

According to Daily Post, the Lagos State Police Command operatives attached to Ilasan Division arrested two suspected armed robbers on Tuesday.

A statement on Thursday by Police spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, said Samson Tella, 37, and Raphael John, 21, specialized in “one chance” and have been terrorising the Lekki-Ajah axis.

The thieves had on Monday, at about 9.30pm, attacked the owner of a Toyota Corrolla car, with Reg No. JJJ 242 FW, at Ikate.

The took over the steering, drove him to an ATM point around the area and withdrew N20,000 from his account.

The distraught citizen quickly informed the police who tracked and traced the car to mechanic workshop at Lafiaji in Lagos Island.

The victim identified Samson Tella after the suspects were arrested with the stolen vehicle.

The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu has directed tactical commanders to expedite actions against traffic robbers and other criminals.

Odumosu also ordered that the suspects be transferred to the Special Squad, Ikeja, for proper investigation and prosecution.
