Fule Price, Electricity Tariff: Buhari Diverting Nigerian’s Attention With Open Grazing – Shehu Sani

The former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Shehu Sani, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari-led government of diverting the attention of Nigerians with the issue of open grazing.

Sani in a post on his Twitter account noted that the federal government is diverting the attention of Nigerians from the increase in electricity tariff and pump price of fuel.

The former lawmaker lamented that the federal government got approval for a $6Billion foreign loan and N895 supplementary budget without challenge.

He wrote, “While northerners and southerners attention is diverted to debate on closed or open grazing, the FG is increasing tariff on electricity, jacking up the pump price of PMS and getting approval for $6Billion foreign loan and N895 supplementary budget, without any challenge from anywhere.”

Recall that President Buhari during an interview on Arise TV last week had asked the AGF to recover lands meant for grazing routes as stipulated in the first republic gazette.

However, governors in the Southern part of the country have insisted that grazing would not be permitted in their states.
