We Paid N180m, Gave 10 Motorcycles To Get Our Children Freed – Parents Of Kidnapped Greenfield Students Reveal (Video)

The students were abducted from their hostels on April 20. Sadly, the bandits killed 5 of the students on two different occasions.

The parents of the 14 abducted students of the Greenfield University Kaduna who regained their freedom on Saturday, May 29, have made some revelations.

They revealed that they paid N180 million to the bandits and also gave 10 motorcycles as a ransom for the release of their children.

The students were abducted from their hostels on April 20. Sadly, the bandits killed 5 of the students on two different occasions.

On Saturday, the bandits after receiving the ransom, released the 14 students to their parents.

One of the parents who spoke to TVC said they contributed N180 million which they gave the bandits as ransom for the release of their wards

”N180 million. That is what they collected from us, from parents without the help of the government. None of the government officials came to our aid since the 20th of April when they took these children” the parent who did not give his name said

The Kaduna state government has maintained its stance never to negotiate with bandits.
