Nigerian First Lady Aisha Buhari has called for the adoption of traditional medicine as part of a comprehensive health care unit.
Aisha Buhari made the call at a ceremony represented by Hajiya Hajo Sani at the launch of books written by Zainab Sharif, the director general of the Department of Traditional Medicine at the Nigerian Ministry of Health, NAN reported.
“Medicinal First Aid Kit ( Kitchen Spices Rack), Common Medicinal Plants of Nigeria and Healing Recipe and Herbal Therapy for Common Ailments” according to NAN.
“ I also call on other traditional complementary and alternative medicine practitioners to conduct their research with approved institutions to find cures for diseases that have bedeviled Nigerians,’’ she said.
The Nigerian first lady also commended the author and said that her books will benefit the health of Nigerians.
