Dubai Ruler, Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Sends Medical, Food Supplies To Nigeria (photos)

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, prime minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and ruler of Dubai, has joined a list of foreigners who have contributed to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria after sending medical and food supplies.

Al Maktoum’s donation was announced in a tweet shared by the government of Dubai media office, on Saturday in which it was revealed that the Monarch ordered the shipment of the items to assist in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The items dispatched from the International Humanitarian City in Dubai included 14 tonnes of medical supplies and 20 tonnes of food supplies.

Al Maktoum also sent “urgent humanitarian aid” to Sudan to assist in the fight against COVID-19.

“His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum orders urgent humanitarian aid to be dispatched to Sudan to support the country’s efforts in combating the COVID-19 pandemic,” the tweet read.

“His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also ordered another aid shipment to Nigeria to help the country fight the pandemic. The relief shipments, which include 14 tonnes of medical supplies and 20 tonnes of food supplies, were dispatched from the International Humanitarian City in Dubai.”
