Coronavirus: Pastor Adeboye donates N20M to Osun State

The General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Adeboye, has pledged the sum of twenty million naira to Osun State in the effort to fight the deadly Coronavirus in the State.

The revered cleric shared this on his official Instagram page on Saturday, 4th of April, 2020.

“Each time I visit Mount Carmel Prayer Village Ifewara, I can’t but thank God for his mercies. Looking back at those days, basic healthcare was even a shadow of what it is today but Its better than what it used to be,” the Instagram caption read in part.

The cleric revealed that he is making the donation to support his home town. Pastor Adeboye is from Ifewara, Osun State.

Pastor Adeboye had initially donated 11 beds and ventilators to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) in an effort to support the fight against COVID-19.

Ventilators are expensive breathing devices that take over the job of the lungs when critical COVID19 patients are on admission, offering critical life-saving oxygen.

The ventilators are critical to helping Nigeria in the fight to protect infected patients from dying. Even advanced countries such as the United States are struggling with a short supply of ventilators to save coronavirus patients from dying.

The new N20 million naira donation from Adeboye to Osun State is coming at a critical time as new cases of COVID19 were confirmed in the state during the week.

“We have been called to be salt and light to the earth and the first place that should benefit from the sweetness and illumination is home, this is why I’m supporting the Osun State government in the fight against COVID-19 with the sum of 20 Million Naira.

“I know this might not fully cater for all areas but this is my token. We will continue to support as many people as we can this period with foodstuff, safety gears, sanitizers and whatever is essential through our CSR arm,” Pastor Adeboye shared on Instagram.
