Aisha, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, has urged women and youths in the South West region to remain resolute, saying whatever her husband was for their future.

Mrs. Buhari made this declaration while speaking at the South West zonal rally organised by the women and youth arm of the presidential campaign.

Mrs. Buhari, who was represented by wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, called on youths in the south west region of Nigeria to maintain peaceful conducts during the coming general election.

At the event were wives of state governors: Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu (Ondo), Dr. Zainab Bagudu (Kebbi), Mrs. Nneoma Okorocha (Imo), Mrs. Bolanle Ambode (Lagos), Mrs. Bisi Feyemi (Ekiti), Mrs. Salamatu Almakura (Nassarawa), Mrs. Olaitan Oyetola (Osun), Dr. Olufunso Amosun (Ogun).

Mrs. Buhari, while speaking said, “On the election day, youths should only rejoice. Do not fight. Do not allow your parents to mourn you.

“After casting your votes, do not go home. Ensure that you stay back to protect your votes. Use your index fingers on the ballot papers. Be careful so that the ink doesn’t spread to another party’s box.

“Others might have been deceiving you, but the truth is that whatever Buhari is doing, he is doing it for your future.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Women Leader and National coordinator of APC Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Team, Hajia Salamatu Baiwa encouraged women to mobilize their families support President Muhammadu Buhari in the coming election.

She said,”We can’t afford to leave our country in the hands of thieves. Come all out with your children and vote for Buhari so as to secure the future of our children.

“Go beyond your family, go door to door in your community and tell them of the good work of Buhari. Remember the school feeding program, Npower and all other programs.

APC South West Zonal Youth Leader, Lawal Kolade who was also at the campaign urged the yoruba youths to give Buhari unflinching support.

Kolade said, “Buhari is building a foundation for our future. Osinbajo is our son and we have to support him. We have already promised Buhari ten million votes.”
