Atiku vs Buhari: PDP leads APC with wide margin in Cross River

The Peoples Democratic Party’s Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar leads in election in Cross River State.

Of the eighteen local government areas in the state, results for sixteen were released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) which indicated PDP as the winner.

The results for the remaining two local government areas, Bakassi and Etung had issues. Bakassi local government was declared inconclusive while Etung local government had its results cancelled.

The State Returning Officer, Prof Akin Ibhadode, Vice Chancellor University of Petroleum Resources Delta State, gave the breakdown of the results as follow: Abi PDP 12, 648, APC 12, 033, Calabar Municipal PDP 25, 950, APC 5, 232, Biase PDP 12, 783, APC 7, 489, Ogoja PDP 22, 963, APC 5, 541, Yala PDP 25, 770, APC 6, 386.

Others are Odukpani PDP 9, 475, APC 5, 077, Obanliku PDP 11, 518, APC 5, 247, Bekwara PDP 21, 467, APC 3, 780, Yakurr PDP 18, 009, 14, 595, Boki PDP 26, 193, APC 14, 311, Ikom PDP18, 778, APC 9, 801.

Calabar South PDP-20, 933, APC – 6, 196, Obubra PDP 8, 224, APC – 5, 385, Akpabuyo PDP7, 767, Obudu PDP 30, 562, APC 4, 794 and Akamkpa PDP 19, 678 APC 6, 226.
