Troops detonate Boko Haram terrorists’ IED (photos)

Nigerian troops at about 1 p.m today, detonated Boko Haram terrorists’ IED which were placed along the Kawuri-Aulari road in Borno State.

The gallant Troops of 222 Battalion Konduga were reportedly on clearance patrol with the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Scanning Team, when they spotted the Boko Haram terrorists’ IED.

This is coming after the Nigerian army uncovered Boko Haram logistics supply syndicates among loggers and charcoal dealers in Borno. Brig.-Gen. Bulama Biu, the Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division, made the disclosure in an interview in Maiduguri.

Biu was reacting to the ban imposed on the supply of firewood and charcoal in Borno. He disclosed that intelligence report indicated that some dealers in Maiduguri, were hiding under the guise of firewood trade to aid the insurgents.
